G. (Gijs) Volders, LLM

Background

Gijs Volders completed his Dutch Law degree (specialisation social law & social politics) at the University of Tilburg in 2008. During his studies he worked at a medium-sized law firm in Tilburg as legal assistant. After his studies Gijs started working as a lawyer at the same firm in 2009. In February 2012 Gijs completed the legal profession  vocational course (Beroepsopleiding Advocatuur). Gijs has been working at Visser Advocatuur B.V. since October 2011.

After his studies Gijs played in the first men’s team of hockey club Den Bosch in the top hockey league in the Netherlands which team became champions twice. Due to his sporting background in Sport and Law Gijs is able to find the right balance between the ever present emotional side in sports and the necessary legal elements. He speaks the language of both the sports person and the managers. Gijs does know what it is like to work in a team and he will always strive for the maximum feasible achievement. This is the basis for his advice but also in proceedings or negotiations.

Member of the Dutch Young Bar Order.

As a lawyer I regard the client’s interests as paramount. It is a challenge for me to find the best solution for the client in each situation, whether that would be court proceedings, or reaching a settlement or other creative solution.
